Since I was a young boy, I have enjoyed both art and construction.  Having been raised in an active Christian home, I gained much of my art and construction experience by working on church projects.  After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a Commercial Art degree in the late 80's, I spent five years as a technical illustrator.  In 1993, I was offered the opportunity to change careers from art to construction.  A home builder in Cincinnati recognized my ability and integrity, and hired me as one of their field construction supervisors.  Though I didn't have much experience at that time, I was driven to learn by my love for construction and educated in every trade by many skilled subcontractors.  In 1998, I felt God urging me to step out on faith and begin my own small construction company.  For the last 20+ years, God has given me many opportunities to serve others and provide for my own  family through Upright Construction.
